Find out whether or not you meet the eligibility for the AYUSH license

The question of how to get AYUSH license  is for everyone to read, but the license itself isn’t for everyone. For so long, people think that this particular license allows them to sell their homemade remedies online or offline. It’s the wrong thought process. The license is only issued to alternative medicine manufacturers who have a high-end manufacturing facility that:

  1. Meets the space requirements of the AYUSH Ministry,
  2. The height requirements of the AYUSH Ministry,
  3. And has been issued all the mandatory certifications, including GMP certification.

If you have none of the above, then you can’t apply for the license. At the very least, you need to have plans for a manufacturing facility to think about the AYUSH license.

Gather the required documents

Following is the list of documents you’re required to provide to the AYUSH ministry for it to process your application:

  1. Certificate of incorporation
  2. Memorandum of Association
  3. Articles of Association
  4. Site plan of the AYUSH manufacturing facility
  5. Key plan of the AYUSH manufacturing facility
  6. If applicable, and if available, the patent details of the product.
  7. A duly signed declaration stating that the applicant has never been convicted of any criminal case.
  8. Qualifications of the employees
  9. Qualifications of the pharmacists.
  10. Qualification of the AYUSH experts
  11. GMC certificate
  12. ROHS certificate
  13. HVAC details

File form 24 D

The form used for filing the AYUSH license certificate application is FORM 24D. As we stated earlier, it’s not something that you can fill and submit online. On the portal, you can download and take the printout of the said form. Fill it and submit it along with the supporting documents to the AYUSH ministry.

Assessment of the application form

AYUSH ministry, upon receiving your application, would not instantly start processing. You should realize that plenty of alternative medicine post COVID 19 has increased the number of applicants. That’s why, there is at least 1 week waiting period.

Auditing of the manufacturing premises

Once the auditor visitors, he conducts many checks on your equipment, space, and the storage facilities. Afterwards, he drafts a confidential report based on his or her findings.

Grant of AYUSH license

Based on the report of the auditor, the AYUSH ministry can either reject or issue you the AYUSH license. In case your application is rejected, you can appeal against it. However, AYUSH license consultants won’t let it happen and you WILL get the AYUSH license to start your business.
