The Moto Edge X30 is the first smartphone in the world to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU. Motorola claims that Qualcomm’s newest chipset has 30% greater GPU performance and 20% better CPU performance than the Snapdragon 888.
The Moto Edge X30 includes a 6.7-inch display that resolves at 1080p, LPDDR5 Memory, and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The AMOLED display can operate at 144 Hz as well, just like the Moto G200.
In addition, the Moto Edge X30 is available with or without an under-display camera. The front-facing cameras on both devices are equal at 60 MP, however, Motorola will market the latter as the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition.
Moreover, the Moto Edge X30 sports a 50 MP and optically-stabilized primary camera. Motorola equipped its camera with a 2 MP depth-of-field sensor and a 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera. For reference, a smartphone can capture films at up to 8K resolution.

Also included with the product is the Moto Edge S30, the Moto G200’s Chinese counterpart.
Yet, according to a certification issued by the NBTC in Taiwan, Motorola may have chosen a different name. Lenovo has registered the XT2201-1 as the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, with XT2201 being the product number for the Moto Edge X30, as shown in the screenshot below.
Yet, it is important to keep in mind that Motorola released the basic and Special Edition Moto Edge X30 variants last year. The majority of the hardware was similar between the two, but Motorola set the Special Edition apart by integrating an under-display camera.
So, it’s possible that the Edge 30 Ultra will serve as the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition’s global counterpart. In either case, the Edge 30 Pro’s basic model ought to go on sale soon. Motorola unveiled the Edge 20 Pro in July 2021 for reference.
